Each year I usually attend this wonderful quilters experience set in the historic Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne. This year the dates and venue has changed due to the pandemic restrictions. AQC 2022 will now run from 26th May to 29th May at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre, South Bank.
Class sign-up is all online via the AQC website.
My Classes
“Framed” Quilt
Thursday 26th May, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Fabric panels are always tempting but also challenging to use creatively in a quilt. Just adding multiple borders is hardly satisfying as a quilter. This workshop will start you on the path to creating a one-of-a-kind quilt using an art panel and sashing. It is fast and easy, lots of fun and so beautiful!
Kits are available.

Angle Tote Bag
Friday 27th May, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
I designed this tote bag pattern to use fat quarters of Kaffe Fassett fabric, paired with a solid base fabric. It also works very well with African fabric, batiks and modern prints.
The bag has two large pockets inside to place all those essentials and a large central space to stash quilt projects, knitting, library books, whatever you need to carry.
Allow for a good variety of fabric colour. Don’t be afraid to pick large bold patterns!
