Twice cooked fabric

$AUD 20.00

The creation of the indigo over ice-dyed panels is a multi-stage process that produces excellent complex patterns on the fabric.

Each piece starts as white fabric, goes into the bucket to ice-dye. It is then rinsed, dried and folded. Some use acrylic templates, and some are tied with string and chopsticks. Then they are dipped in indigo for 8 – 10 dips before being rinsed and dried. This process takes several days.

The pieces can be used as centre panels or cut up for piecing. Truly a unique product, great to add that extra interest to your project.
