A free pattern to use up those scraps and offcuts.
What to do with your quilting offcuts. Viewing the considerable pile of offcuts I had left over from making the Flower Power quilt, I wanted something to complement the bed quilt. A set of pillows were the logical answer…
If using these offcuts, you can actually make two pillows which is perfect for a queen size bed.
NOTE: This pillow can be made even if you don’t have suitable offcuts. Instructions are included in the pattern for cutting and sewing using any fabric pieces.
To cut my offcuts down to a uniform size, I used the Judy Hopkins ScrapMaster Ruler. It was perfect! The triangles were already in sets of 2 when they were trimmed off of the flying geese blocks. All I did was trim them down and sew together.
Skill Level: New, rotary cutting, basic sewing skills
