Bushfire Quilt Pattern

$AUD 11.99

Inspiration for a quilt pattern can come from anywhere – even the most mundane things. I developed the concept of this pattern while sitting in my father’s hospital room. I noticed the waffle pattern on the blanket was somewhat different than usual, so I sketched the design for later use.

Bushfire is a great quilt pattern for when the stash pile gets too big. The design is particularly effective when complemented by strong fabric colour choices.

Description

When I returned home, I turned this idea into blocks. The quilt has only four unique blocks, making it very easy to resize. This pattern provides three quilt sizes, but you can customise them for your requirements.

In the first sample quilt I pulled out a lovely charcoal solid from my stash and put it together with pink, red and orange scraps from my scrap basket. This quilt lends itself to using up the odds and sods you might have lying around.
